A Well Deserved Thank You To DTC Choir

I hope you were able to attend the Denmark Technical College Choir’s “Motown & More” concert that was presented by Relay For Life Team 026. What you might not know is that the DTC Choir performed for the Lower Savannah Council of Governments’ meeting on April 12th at the Bamberg County Office on Aging, and on April 18th they also performed at the South Carolina Education Association – Retired Convention in Columbia. I was fortunate to be at all three performances and am pleased to say they represented themselves, DTC and Bamberg County in the most positive light possible. Previous to these three performances they provided the entertainment at the Chamber’s Banquet, an Arts Council event, Bamberg City Veterans Day Program, the Bamberg County Holiday Concert and performed at the Governor’s Mansion. Those are the ones that I could think of but I’m sure there were others. We are indeed very fortunate to have DTC, Dr. McDaniel and the DTC Choir as a part of Bamberg County. All three are an asset to Bamberg County and I think we all need to let them know how much we appreciate their contributions to the entire county.

It is never too early to mark your calendar and plan to attend the events listed here. There are many other great events that are planned by groups and organizations all over Bamberg County. The Chamber is making a list of all events like festivals, concerts, plays or fundraisers to share with as many people as we can, both inside and outside of Bamberg County.
